Delaware Massage Therapy Continuing Education Requirements
Delaware Accepts All Jumozy Online Massage Therapy Continuing Education (CE) Courses
Jumozy is an approved massage CE provider for the Delaware Board of Massage and Bodywork as NCBTMB provider #452024-12.
Active Massage Therapist’s and Technician’s in Delaware are allowed to get credit for up to 12 hours of elective or core credits online at https://www.jumozy.com/course-catalog/massage.
Continuing Education Requirements - State of Delaware
The amount of Continuing Education (CE) that you are required to complete depends on when your license was issued during the full licensure period. If this is your first renewal, and you are licensed:
- less than one year – you are not required to do CE
- more than one year, but less than two years – you are required to complete 12 hours of approved CE
Active Massage Therapist’s and Technician’s must complete 24 hours of approved CE during each full licensure renewal periods between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2022 even-numbered years (2020-2022, etc.).
The CE must include at least:
- 3 hours in ethics, which may be taken in a classroom or online
- 9 hours of core credits – which must be taken in a classroom hands-on setting
- 12 hours of elective or core credits which may be taken online
Online courses cannot make up more than 50% of your total CE hours, the remaining 50% must be in a classroom hands-on setting. All courses must be approved by NCBTMB, AMTA or Delaware Board of Massage and Bodywork. Jumozy massage therapy courses are all approved by the NCBTMB.

Most individual state regulatory boards require continuing education for massage therapists to renew licensing.

NCBTMB Continuing Education Requirements

NCBTMB advocates for professional development through quality lifelong learning, and requires continuing education as part of the recertification process to ensure you practice safely, competently, and effectively. Every two years, NCBTMB mandates 24 hours of massage therapy continuing education to maintain Board Certification.
According to NCBTMB, continuing education plays a critical role in NCBTMB’s recertification program. Those who select the CE option are required to earn credits from an NCBTMB Approved Provider. This ensures that massage therapists receive quality instruction of the highest standards.

NCBTMB Board Certified practitioners must renew their certification every two years. NCBTMB required continuing education may be met with online continuing education courses.
